Weekly Memory Verse (Week 15)

I was feeling pretty good when my verse memorizing up until I saw this week's memory verse.

1 Peter 1:3-5
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade - kept in heaven heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time."

This will definitely be a challenge for me to get this memorized. The content of the verse however is something to hold dear since it describes the permanence of our inheritance awaiting for us in heaven. The stresses and trials that we receive here on earth on account of our Lord Jesus Christ will all fade away when we receive "an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade". What elates me even more is that we are "shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation".

Let us be confident this week that we will be able to handle whatever comes our way. Let us also be excited in knowing that our toils here on earth for the Lord will not go unrewarded.

Happy Memorizing!
